You
Need To Find
Qui-Gon
You start the level on this little
island in the middle
of the swamp. Ignore the STAP and jump in the muck. Swim almost
directly
forward from the position you started the level‚ right between the two
trees and hit the shore. Don’t worry about the STAP‚ it leaves pretty
much
as soon as you get out of the water.
| |
Blaster Rifle
Almost right away you come across a
squad of battle
droids. A well aimed Force push should knock them all on their botty.
Jump
right in the middle of them and do a wide saber sweep. This should take
them all out in one move. Don’t forget the blaster and head around the
corner to the left to meet Jar Jar.
| |
Before you follow Jar Jar down the
hill‚ notice the lone battle droid marching around. You can take him
out
from up here with a blaster.
If you wait a few seconds before siding down
the
slope‚ a battle droid comes up behind you. Make him one with the Force.
Down this slope there are two paths you can
take.
The first is to the left where the lone battle droid was standing. This
is the more difficult path. The easy path is to the right. If you take
the quick and easy path (forever will it dominate your destiny)‚ skip
to
where it says “Push the log.” On the left route‚ you use a fallen tree
to cross the water.
A whole pile of battle droids wait on the
other side
of the bridge. Run forward and start deflecting their shots back at
them.
If you’re having trouble dealing with them‚ walk closer and a tree will
fall‚ thus separating you from most of the attacking droids. You can
now
take them out in more manageable numbers. Round the tree and head to
the
left‚ mindful of the remaining droids.
When you get to this little jump‚ a droid
waits directly
across from you. It can be tough to see it with this camera angle‚ so
be
wary. Jar Jar is waiting for you on the right and you don’t need
to go to the left. However‚ along with the three battle droids
wandering
around‚ there is also a full health pack and a thermal detonator‚ so
you
should probably stop in. You might try taking out some of the droids
from
the top of the ledge‚ but that also makes you an easy target.
Full
Med Pack
Thermal
Detonator
You can jump right into the two droids
guarding the
health pack (above left) and take them out before they have any idea
what’s
going on. Be sure not to land right on the health pack though‚ so if
you
take any damage from the droids you can take the health pack after.
Right in front of the broken crate is a little ledge with a thermal
detonator.
Jump over and grab it‚ then take out the battle droid traipsing around
on the opposite ledge. Now you have to find a way back up. Head to the
right.
| |
Push
the log over
to get up to Jar Jar.
If you took the easy path earlier‚ Jar Jar
will be
waiting for you atop this ledge. First‚ go to the right and grab the
health
pack and thermal detonator. If you took the other path, Jar Jar won’t
be
there and you’ll already have the health pack and thermal detonator. .
You still need to get up to the ledge however.
Push the box-like log over to the ledge and
jump up
to the ledge where Jar Jar was standing. Then follow the two logs
serving
as balance beams and jump back up to where you were before you went
after
the health pack. Now head over to the left to see what Jar Jar’s
hollering
about this time.
| |
Gungan
Energy Balls
Over where Jar Jar is hollering for your
attention‚
line yourself up with the Gungan energy balls (above left) and do an
extended
jump to grab them. On the other side‚ Jar Jar leads you right into a
battle
droid ambush. The little stinker.
Small
Med Pack
Just past the ambush‚ you have to jump down
off the
ledge. Don’t overlook the small health pack sitting unobsequiously
inside
that little inlet (above left). Head on over through the pack of Crazed
Ankle Munchers‚ then over to the left.
| |
| |
Full
Health Pack.
Hop over the water and off of the block in
the middle
of the water. The left and right paths intersect‚ so it doesn’t matter
which one you take. There’s a full health pack (above right) on the
right
path (near another battle droid). You might want to take him out first.
Follow Jar Jar up these squarish hills and
you come
to a cross road. To the left is a droid ship with a gazillion battle
droids‚
and to the right is Jar Jar. You might prefer the battle droids. Jar
Jar
will only holler at you anyway‚ so go straight instead.
| |
To
the
left is an inexhaustible supply of battle droids. There’s a full health
pack over here‚ but it’s not worth the bother.
If you get in trouble over here, try Force
pushing
a few droids. New droids only replace destroyed ones. If they’re just
stunned,
new ones won’t appear.

Take the straight path
to here
(above right), take out the droids and head to the right. You don’t
need
to walk by Jar Jar (above left).

Jar Jar
Ask‚ “Have you seen anyone else like me?”
and
“Can you take me to him?”
Here
comes a STAP
To get the STAP‚ jump over to the second
ledge and
wait for it to settle into a fixed pattern.
Line yourself up with Jar Jar (facing him)
and hit
the STAP as it flies by. Might take a couple passes.
Jump (or climb) to other side and head after
Jar Jar
again. Push the log over to the edge.

Full
Med Pack
Jump up to get the full med pack‚ then push
the log
over the edge and across to the other side.
Use the log to jump up to the opposing
ledge. Then
jump to the vine and shimmy to the right. Run along until you meet up
with
Jar Jar again.

Droid dekas wait in the two
far crates but they won’t come out if you finish off the battle droids
fast enough. Eh‚ so what? Go get ’em anyway. Just because.
| |
Head off after Jar Jar and meet
up with Qui-Gon.
